Proper Job Theatre Company is looking to recruit quality, motivated freelancers to help us deliver our ground-breaking, flagship programme; The LAB Project.
This course is a unique blend of applied theatre arts and certain therapy techniques, carefully curated to help vulnerable adults build confidence and skills to move forward in life. The programme has been running in Manchester for over 15 years and is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. Building on this success, Proper Job Theatre Company have now developed two new courses: LAB Wellbeing which develops strategies and approaches to improve wellbeing. LAB Volunteering which focuses on skills needed to follow a path in volunteering. The courses run for either two weeks or one week. All courses have their roots in drama and theatre.
Proper Job Theatre Company are looking for people who are/have:
• inspired by helping others progress
• experience of drama and/or theatre
• motivated and enthusiastic
• open to learning
• happy to work on a freelance, part time contract
• teaching or facilitating experience
• able to work well in a team
It would be preferable if you had:
• a teaching qualification
• a driving license
• lived in Manchester

A short workshop and interviews will be held on 2 September at Proper Job Offices, 3rd Floor, 48a Byram Arcade, Huddersfield, HD1 1ND.
Successful candidates will be asked to take part on the next available two-week LAB Project in order to learn the syllabus and Proper Job’s unique approach. Proper Job can offer a training allowance during these two weeks. Following the training the new facilitators will be offered dates through to May 2020, you will always be team teaching with a more experienced member of the Proper Job team. Proper Job will continue to offer CPD to help you grow.
