11th April 2016

Macc, the organisation which supports the voluntary sector in Manchester, have announced their Spirit of Manchester 2016 programme. Celebrating the work of thousands of volunteers and paid staff working in organisations all across the city the festival week will run from 1-10 October 2016 with an award ceremony being held on 6 October.

Mike Wild, Chief Executive of Macc said

‘The Spirit of Manchester programme is our invitation to everyone in Manchester to join us in discovering and celebrating the amazing work of local charities, community groups and voluntary organisations all across the city. There’s a wealth of talent, passion and energy in hundreds of groups and organisations working in local communities. These are the groups who support the most vulnerable and marginalised and also they’re part of the fabric of the city running after-school clubs, sports groups and lots of the social and cultural activities in Manchester. Every year, we find out about more wonderful local groups and projects”

Any business, charity and organisation who would like to get involved and support this programme, are more than welcome to contact us to discuss how we can work together.
