22nd July 2019 marked 100 years, to the day, since the formation of Manchester and Salford Council of Social Service (MSCSS).
To mark the occasion, we held an event, jointly organised with Salford CVS and Gaddum, at the People's History Museum to celebrate a century of social action across the twin cities of Manchester and Salford.

The Spirit of Manchester 2016

Macc, the organisation which supports the voluntary sector in Manchester, have announced their Spirit of Manchester 2016 programme. Celebrating the work of thousands of volunteers and paid staff working in organisations all across the city the festival week will run from 1-10 October 2016 with an award ceremony being held on 6 October.

Macc, the organisation which supports the voluntary sector in Manchester, has announced a Festival to celebrate the work of thousands of volunteers and paid staff working in organisations all across the city.

At the University of Manchester’s Barnes Wallis Building an invited audience will gather on the evening of Thursday 25th September for the Spirit of Manchester Awards. The Awards, which celebrate the voluntary and community sector in Manchester, are organised by Macc, the support organisation for the 3000+ groups within the city.
Misha B to perform at Spirit of Manchester charity awards event

Mancunian singer and songwriter Misha, B who rose to fame on the eighth series of The X Factor, will be performing at this year’s Spirit of Manchester Awards, a series of awards celebrating Manchester’s voluntary and community sector on Thursday 25th September. The Awards are organised by Macc, the support organisation for the 3000+ voluntary and community groups within the city.
